Restaurant group Bon Group oy purchased the Oliver’s Corner restaurant in Rovaniemi and the Panimo & Pub in Levi, Kittilä.
The restaurants were owned by the Rovaniemi-based restaurant company Monarco oy, whose entrepreneurs are Mona Rytilahti and Tuomo Korteniemi. The buyers were Bon Group oy’s subsidiaries Bon Rovaniemi oy and Bon Levi oy.
The personnel will transfer to the new owner as old employees, and the restaurants will continue to operate without interruption.
According to Ville Puustinen, CEO of Bon Group oy, the intention is to develop the restaurant sites from their own starting points.
Oliver’s Corner Rovaniemi and Levin Panimo & Pub are both significant local restaurants with a strong identity and a clear role in the Lapland tourism and restaurant sector. We want to develop them moderately and long-term, respecting the expertise of the personnel and the nature of the sites, Puustinen says in the company’s press release.
Bon Group already has operations in Levi at the accommodation and experience site Levi Spirit. Bon Group's owners include world rally champion Kalle Rovanperä.
Former restaurant entrepreneurs Mona Rytilahti and her husband Tuomo Korteniemi plan to focus on civilian life for a while and then see what the future holds. They thank their employees, customers and partners for the past years.

The restaurants have been under the same entrepreneur for a long time. Mona Rytilahti founded and opened Oliver’s Corner in Rovaniemi in 2012. In 2017, she and Korteniemi bought the Levi restaurant.
–Yes, the sale does raise some sad feelings in a certain way. It is a big change in your life, Rytilahti describes.
–On the other hand, we are comforted by the fact that the buyer is a large player. The employees will get a good company to run the business, says Korteniemi.
